Add Your Phone Number for Monitoring Alerts

Your home is protected

Your service provider set up and prepaid Pro Monitoring for your home. It looks out for your home's systems, like water leaks, temperature swings, and equipment trouble, so a small problem can be caught early, before it becomes an expensive repair.

There is nothing to buy and nothing to install. The one step worth taking is adding your cell phone number, so those alerts can actually reach you.

Why add your cell phone number

An alert only helps if it finds you in time. When your number is on file, the monitoring service can reach you the way that matters most in a hurry: a text or a phone call.

  • Urgent issues reach you anywhere. A burst pipe, a freeze risk, or a failing water heater can text or call you the moment it happens, even when you are away from home or not looking at the app.
  • You hear about it early. A heads-up in the first few minutes is often the difference between a quick fix and a flooded floor.
  • Without a number, you only see alerts when you open the app, which might be hours later. A text or call closes that gap.

You choose how much you hear about. Many homeowners keep texts and calls on for urgent issues only, and let everything else wait for the app or a weekly email.

How we use your number

Your number is used for one purpose: reaching you about your home.

  • It is used for the monitoring alerts you choose and for support about your home, nothing else.
  • We do not sell or rent your number, and we do not use it for marketing blasts.
  • It is shared only with your service provider, the team that helps look after your home.
  • You stay in control. You decide which alerts you receive, you can pause them anytime, and you can remove your number whenever you want, all from the app.

How to add your number

  1. Get the Shipshape app. Download it and sign in with the email your service provider used to set up your home. Get it at shipshape.ai/app.
  2. Add your number. Open the app, go to Settings then Profile, enter your cell phone number, and save.
  3. Choose your alerts. In Settings then Notifications, turn on what you want to hear about. We recommend keeping urgent alerts, like water leaks, switched on for text or call.

That is it. Your home is covered, and now a heads-up can reach you the moment it matters.

Your privacy comes first

Shipshape watches your home's systems and sensors, like water, temperature, and equipment, not you. There are no cameras. You decide which alerts you receive and who can see your home's data, and you can change any of it anytime. For more on how your data is protected, see Your Data and Privacy.
